Japan plans to freeze assets of prominent Russian businessmen
TOKYO, Mar 3 (PRIME) -- Japan plans to freeze assets of prominent Russian businessmen in the framework of sanctions imposed on Moscow in the wake of its military operation in Ukraine, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said in a news conference on Thursday.
“We imposed personal sanctions against the representatives of the Russian government, including against President (Vladimir) Putin. We also plan to take measures to freeze assets of the so-called Russian oligarchs,” he said.
